To help ensure that these students have every opportunity to become tomorrow’s business leaders, KKR became the founding sponsor of the Accelerator Scholars program, a four-year curriculum that aims to provide mentorship, coaching, networking, relationship-building, and professional and life skills to first-generation students at Dyson and Nolan Hotel School at Cornell University’s SC Johnson School of Business.

C.H.I. Overhead Doors
During KKR’s investment in C.H.I. Overhead Doors, a garage door manufacturing company based in Illinois, the value creation plan included a broad-based employee ownership program in which all 800 employees participated. In addition to boosting employee engagement, the program enhanced the company’s performance and created substantial gains for KKR’s investors and employees when we exited the company in 2022.
Committed to building a world where waste is useful, Viridor has invested £1.2 billion in energy recovery facilities across the U.K. that produce enough energy to power more than 600,000 homes. KKR bought the company in March 2020, believing even during a time of market turmoil that the company was building critical infrastructure for a sustainable future.

At a time when high-speed internet is an essential way to connect people to jobs, education, and services, an ambitious strategic partnership between KKR and Telefonica in Colombia aims to provide fiber optic access to thousands of homes and businesses. KKR made a significant minority investment in the firm through its Infrastructure fund in 2021 and committed up to $1 billion to a strategic partnership that aims to develop and acquire utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects.
