Adam Smith

Adam Smith (New York) joined KKR in 2007 and is Co-Head of KKR’s Credit and Markets business, which is the combination of KKR’s credit business and its full-service capital markets business, where the firm offers tailored financing solutions for sponsors and companies. Mr. Smith helped build the capital markets business from its beginnings in 2007 and today co-leads a global team of investment professionals, including those who support and advise sponsors and companies on all financing activities associated with achieving corporate goals and growth objectives across debt, equity and structured investment products. Mr. Smith was also a key contributor involved in the structuring and initial formation of one of the first publicly traded private equity vehicles (KKR Private Equity Investors) and its subsequent merger with KKR to form KKR as a NYSE-listed company. Mr. Smith holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
